Casa do Salgueiral, in Santa Marta de Penaguião, offers three rooms and four independent and fully equipped apartments. This is the ideal place for a vacation, a weekend, a business meeting or a professional retreat, alone or with a small group. Our house can also be used for events.
 
Located in the center of the Douro World Heritage Site, at 6 km from Régua, 14 from Vila Real and 21 from Lamego, Santa Marta is an ideal place for rest and a great starting point for excursions into the interior of the Douro.
 
In addition to the main building, the farm has an old caretaker's house and a chapel dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Piedade. Next to the chapel is a small garden, a leisure area and even for meals. Nearby is the swimming pool, built on a vineyard terrace, with a wide horizon over Santa Marta de Penaguião and the surrounding vineyards. The old granite wine press is now a games and television room. The vineyard surrounds the house and naturally dominates the landscape.
 

The building's renovation, completed in 2020, overseen by architect Fernando Seara, kept the old features, which are supposed to belong to the 17th century. The decoration was done, almost entirely, with the old furniture of the house. In the main building there are three rooms available: Quarto dos Meninos (Children's Room), Quarto da Mãe (Mother's Room) and Quarto da Nina (Nina's Room). Guests staying in these rooms have access to a living room with a fireplace, the dining room, as well as the front porch.
 

On the ground floor there are three spacious apartments that maintain their original designations: Loja do Azeite (Olive Oil Store), a studio; Sala do Ping Pong (Ping Pong Room), two bedrooms, and Loja da Lenha (Firewood Store), a studio. Another apartment with two bedrooms, Casa dos Caseiros (Caretakers' House), is located in a building next to the main house.
 
The chapel can be visited during the day, whenever you wish. Mass is celebrated once a month.
 
Casa do Salgueiral includes eighteen acres of vineyards. Guests can experience the agricultural  work.

This space is not suitable for people with reduced mobility.
